A long time Durham resident, Amy has led a rich and fascinating life that includes the Hollywood scene and the multi-faceted worlds of human psychology and creative writing. Her talk is sure to inspire and entertain.
The evening will include hors d'oeuvres, wine and a delicious light fare buffet by the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station. There will be time to network with old friends and meet new ones too. Please plan to bring your spouse and/or friends to join you for this entertaining evening.
Amy Bloom's latest novel, Away, has been chosen as one of the ten best books of 2007. Bloom received a National Book Award nomination for Come To Me, a collection of short stories, and the O. Henry Award for Semper Fidelis. She was also nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award for A Blind Man Can See How Much I Love You. She lives in Connecticut and teaches at Yale University.
